- PAMYAT MINOVA
-
Description:
The origin: seedling of unknown origin
The variety is referred to ordinary walnut variety.
The tree is vigorous, rapidly growing with a rounded crown of medium density. The blossom type is protogynous. The fruiting type is apical. The fruiting is good and regular enough by years.
Biological peculiarities: it starts fruiting on the 5th, 6th year after planting in an orchard on the seed stock. It has relative resistance to leaf blotch.
Nuts are small, of medium one-dimensionality, oval and poorly ribbed. The top of the tree is truncated and the bottom is rounded. The medium nut's weight is 8.6 g. and maximal one is 9.5 g. The output of kernel of a nut is 40.5 %, the kernel extraction is 3.3 points and the taste has an evaluation of 3.8 points. The kernel is yellow-brown. The nut has a thin shell. The shell thickness is 1.2 mm.
Consumption period: the end of September
It was passed to the State variety trial system in 2000.

Description:
The origin: seedling from free pollination of early-ripening form of Kiev reproduction
The variety has heightened winter hardiness. It is referred to early-ripening walnut variety.
The tree is vigorous with the crown of medium density. The blossom type is protogynous. The fruiting type is apical. The fruits germinate by 2-5 pieces or into clusters up to 8-10 pieces. The fruiting is good and regular enough by years
Biological peculiarities: it starts fruiting on the 3rd, 4th year after planting in an orchard. It is differed by late (the middle of May) abundant male blossom. It has relative resistance to leaf blotch.
Nuts are small, of medium one-dimensionality, oval and poorly ribbed. The top of the tree is mucronated and the bottom is oblong. The average nut's weight is 8.3 g. and maximal one is 10.5 g. The output of kernel of a nut is 52.9 %, the kernel extraction is 4.3 points and the taste has an evaluation of 4.0 points. The kernel is yellow. The nut has a thin shell. The shell thickness is 0.8 mm.
